1. Why do you call yourself a brat?

When I first got online, I was a whole lot younger. I was feisty and silly, I liked to be sarcastic and goofy. The nickname was given and it stuck. I am not a brat in the negative sense, more like… well, a lovable imp I suppose.

2. How long have you been blogging?

I started blogging in 2000 when I went to work for a dot com. I was traveling every week all over the country and it was a good way for friends to be able to figure out where I was each week. After that stopped, I kept at it for the same reasons most do. I needed an outlet and it was faster to type than to write. Also, I appreciate getting feedback. It lets me know that I am not alone, that there may be a side I am not seeing. It reminds me that feelings are not facts.

3. Why don’t you post pictures of your son?

On the web today, there are millions of pedophiles willing and able to get their jollies where they can. I don’t want my son to ever be the source of that. I have a protected journal here that I post pictures of my son, sometimes too many!

4. What do you want to be when you grow up?

A better version of myself. I hope that the day I learn nothing new about myself is the day I have died.
