Stupid driver!

I was on my way home tonight from picking Alex up from daycare.  I came into our complex, stopped at the stop sign and was ready to go when I noticed a minivan coming pretty fast from the other way.  So I waited to make sure she would stop.  I am so glad I did.  If I hand’t, she would have hit on Alex’s side of the car.  Our housing complex is large, its probably a mile long and half a mile wide.  The speed limit is 20 and there are many stop signs throughout. There are also a lot of kids and small animals that dart into the street regularly.

As we are driving, this woman is flying through the complex.  She isn’t bothering to stop at any of the 3 other stop signs on the way home.  As I turn off the main road, I notice she is getting out of her car after parking.  I pulled to the side and waited to get her attention.  She was ignoring me so I got out (stupidly I know) and walked towards her car.  I asked her if she could please slow down while driving through the complex and please stop at the signs as she had almost hit me.  She continues to ignore me.  Her husband got out of a different car, obviously arriving home from work, and was listening to the conversation.  I saw her start pulling her child out of her van and asked her again to please stop at the stop signs because she had almost hit me and I too, had my child in the car.

She continues to ignore me.  I can feel my anger building.  Ah yes, my Italian temper.  I said that perhaps it would be best if I called the office and let them deal with her as it was obvious she couldn’t hear me.  Her husband at this point is yelling her name and telling her to listen.  I asked her how shee would felt if I had nearly hit her child because I couldn;t be bothered to stop.  At this point, she calls me a white trash whore b&^%$ c&^%.  Her husband was appalled.  Yes folks, she is saying this in front of her daughters.  To someone that hasn’t raised their voice to her, certainly hasn’t attacked her personally…

Needless to say, I got the license plate number, her assigned parking spot number and tomorrow, I’ll be calling the office.  Our property management company doesn’t take things like this lightly. Not when it comes to such reckless actions.

Stupid yes, but I did get a giggle at how pissed she was.
