Nothing says professional like crying

Ay…  way to spoil my “tough girl” image.  The position I am in…  well, its got a big learning curve for anyone.  Add to it that skill set wise, I had a lot to learn to start with.  The learning curves I have normally had look something like a gradual hill.  This one is straight up.  The feedback I am getting is that I am doing well learning.  I am improving.  Things are sinking in.  All great stuff.

Today though just kind of brought everything to a head.  I am used to being the “go to” girl.  In my first position with this company, within 6 months, I had senior folks coming to me with questions.  The same thing with my second position.  This one…. well, I feel like I will never be done learning.  Its hard.  Its really hard.  The concepts, the technical side and the process side.  I feel like I am having so many new things dumped on me and not enough time to learn them all.

I just lost it today.  In tears, sniveling, blubbering in tears.  Talk about embarrassing.   All I can do is put one foot in front of the other and learn as I go.  My brain will not explode.
