I think morning sickness was more fun
Yowzers gadget!
The last 24 hours or so were pure hell. I woke up yesterday feeling fine. Alex went to daycare, Freedom went to the vet for the day, I took my Mom day. I managed to get the lawn mowed, the 8′x3′ pool taken down, the house vacuumed, all the dishes down. And this was before 11:30am! I decided to go get some groceries and on the way to the store I started feeling really funky. So I turn around and head home.
The nausea sets in, then the clamminess, then the achy-ness. It just came on so hard and fast. I thought maybe it was because I hadn’t eaten so I ate a piece of cheese and had some water. Big mistake.
Remember my dog and my son are not home and I HAVE to go get them at some point. I get the call that Freedom is ready so I swing by Alex’s daycare, pick him up, pick Freedom up only to have to stop twice on the way home to throw up. Which, by the way, Alex though was hysterical.
I get home and cannot keep it together. I called my mom, she came to get Mr Alex. I took several hot baths, which helped with the pain but left me feeling like I was freezing. Threw up a few times, at this point even water wouldn’t stay down. I talked to my mom again, she agreed to keep Alex overnight, called in sick and went back to sleep for awhile.
Alex ended up coming home late last night because he couldn’t fall asleep at Grandma’s. On one hand I was relieved, I have never spent the night away from him. On the other I was dreading if he wouldn’t go to sleep here and I got sick again. Thankfully he fell asleep on the way home and stayed asleep all night.
I’m not as sick today, things are staying down but man oh man. I hurt and I am exhausted. Whatever this flu is, it hit me hard and fast. I slept most of today and I feel 100 times better than yesterday at this time. I am hoping it stays gone.

You poor thing! Congrats on getting so much done before the Morning Sickness kicked in. Have you tried eating Ginger? It could really help you out, as well as Soda Crackers. I hope the Morning Sickness passes quickly!!
