Bite me, Comcast
I remember now why I left Comcast cable so long ago. Their customer service sucks.
In my backyard is one of the cable bubbles. Ya know the thing… green bubble that comes a foot up and houses all the underground cable switches. Not a big deal, I mow around it every week. Once every few months a neighbor stops in to ask if Comcast can get back there. Saturday morning a neighbor did just that. The answer, as it always is, was “Of course! The gate is unlocked”. Well Comcast came and did their thing. Saturday afternoon Alex was playing back there and brings me this thing. Its got an electrical plug on one end and a circuit meter on the other. I ask him where he found it, he pointed in the general direction of nowhere.
This morning we are playing outside again and I chased him around and found this bubble is completely open. Its not secured in any way, there are wires sticking out… its a mess. I called Comcast thinking its better for them to come out and fix it than for me to cut wires accidentally with the lawn mower.
I am told it will be a $50 repair fee to me to have them come out. Excuse me? I’m not even a customer. I’m just someone that doesn’t want to kill my neighbors cable. I’m just a mom that doesn’t want her baby playing in the wires. The wires that their person left exposed when he was here. $50? I so think not. I ask to speak to a supervisor. I am told no one is available. I finally hung up and called back. I was told the same answer again.
So the bubble stays, opened and exposed. Hope the sprinklers don’t ruin anything. Hope the wires aren’t cut by the weed eater or lawnmower.

That is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard! $50?? WTH?? I would keep calling and ask for a manager.
Wth. Why should you pay for THEIR mistake? Idiots.
sounds about right.. I hate comcast… it’s a premium priced extremely mediocre product with just terrible customer service.. bad business imo. I am switching to direct tv soon!
