For Sale: 1 toddler
I have (1) toddler for sale. He is 15 months old, cute as can be and likes music, cars and snuggles. Dislikes: Being told what to do, sitting still, not being the center of attention. Shipping and handling is not included. Will be sold to highest bidder.
Ok in all seriousness here… someone please tell me that the phases they go through at 9-12 months are simply being repeated at 15/16 months. We are back to hitting everyone, throwing things and not listening. I was holding him while saying goodbye to my mom after dinner and he slapped me in the face twice. I thought we were past this. I truly thought after it stopped a few months ago, we were done. I hate having my hair pulled and being smacked (eve playfully) in the face and yet someone is back to doing both.
I am trying to remain optimistic that this is just one day, that he was acting out because of being with my mom… something. Anything other than we are going through this again. I do believe though that it is time to buy a time out chair and find a place for it to stay.
More later… the tyrant is demanding my attention.

When my kids were babies I realized that just before each advancement (sitting up, walking, talking, etc..) they would “go backwards” slightly to older behaviors, stop sleeping all night and being fussy in general.
Maybe your child is getting ready to do something new and amazing!
