Alex has had a cold all week, it actually started Friday afternoon. Its fairly gross. Green snot and crap. Ah, the joys of motherhood.

I go on vacation next week since daycare is closed so I am looking forward to that. Saturday, we have a birthday party to go to for a friend that has fraternal autistic twins. I can't believe the boys are already 5. Sunday, church and dinner with dad. Monday, I am taking Alex and Freedom to Bodega Bay. Wednesday, we are going up to the foothills to go horseback riding and visit with an old friend. Thursday he has his 15 month appointment and shots. Saturday is a work picnic deal.

I was planning on delaying the MMR but the more I hear about Measles and Mumps popping up, the more scared I am to delay. I will be delaying Polio until he is 2 at least because its a live friggin vaccine. I can't stomach the thought of injecting my baby with the Polio virus. Not at this young. NVM - my vax knowledge was wrong I hate making choices about vax. It really sucks. If I get him vaxed and he is later diagnosed with autism, I will always wonder if it was the vaccination. If I don't and he gets measles, mumps or rubella, I will kill myself with guilt for not vaxing him. The link between autism and vaccines is tenuous at best. The 3 diseases it protects against are real. If he was not in daycare, I would totally delay but I don't get to pick who or what he is exposed to.
